- Welding Technology: Application of various welding processes (111, 121, 135/136, 141, laser) for high-quality weld seams and connections; EN ISO 9606-1 / EN ISO 14732
- S235: Standard structural steel with a yield strength of 235 N/mm². Cost-effective and easily weldable, suitable for many typical steel construction tasks.
- S275: Structural steel with a higher yield strength (275 N/mm²) for moderate to higher load requirements. Also highly weldable and versatile.
- S355: High-strength structural steel (355 N/mm² yield strength) for demanding projects requiring stronger stability with less material—such as large halls, crane systems, or bridges.
- 8: High-strength steel bolts with about 800 N/mm² tensile strength, commonly used in load-bearing connections for structural steel.
- 9 HV: Even higher strength (~1000 N/mm²), often used in critical areas (e.g., crane structures). HV means “high-strength preloaded.”
- A4-70: Stainless steel bolts (often V4A/1.4404) for corrosion-resistant applications, such as outdoor installations or in the food and chemical industries.
- Bolts are procured in Germany
- 111 (Manual Metal Arc): Flexible welding ideal for site operations and difficult-to-access spots.
- 121 (Submerged Arc): Suitable for long, thick-walled welds in flat position, providing high-quality, high-strength seams.
- 135/136 (MAG with Solid or Flux-Cored Wire): A standard process in steel construction; high deposition rate and versatile.
- 141 (TIG): Produces precise, high-quality welds, perfect for stainless steel or thin materials.
- Laser: Allows for narrow, low-distortion welds, particularly in thin materials and automated production.
- Profile Bending: Forming beams, angles, or tubes into curved shapes—e.g., for arched roofs or bent pipe sections.
- Round Bending: Rolling sheet metal into cylinders, rings, or cones—e.g., for tanks or silos.
- Press Braking: Accurately bending sheet metal (using a press brake with punch and die) to form angles, U-channels, or enclosures.
These processes ensure precise components and reduce the need for welded joints.
Depending on the medium and environment, Ramec uses:
- Unalloyed Carbon Steel: Often coated or painted if corrosion protection is necessary.

Ramec offers an end-to-end service—from initial consultation and design to state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality control (e.g., ISO 3834), right through to delivery and on-site installation. Clients benefit from reliable, on-schedule project execution and a team experienced in both standard and highly customized solutions.
- Inquiry and Consultation: The client shares their project requirements (e.g., hall construction, steel construction, pipeline systems). We analyze the conditions and provide guidance on potential solutions.
- Quotation: Based on the requirements, we calculate costs and prepare a detailed quote along with a rough project concept.
- Order and Planning: Once the order is confirmed, our engineering teams begin detailed planning, structural analysis, and design. We also prepare any necessary permit documents.
- Production: In our manufacturing facilities, we fabricate all required components (steel structures, welded beams, etc.) according to strict quality standards.
- Logistics and Customs: We handle shipping or trucking logistics. Through our German branch (Ramec Germany), we take care of all customs formalities, relieving the client of any import-related tasks.
- Assembly and Handover: Our installation team erects the components on site, and we deliver the turnkey project to the client.
Ramec manages the entire planning process, from initial requirements and conceptual design to detailed engineering. This includes:
- Structural Analysis: Our engineering team performs the necessary calculations according to German and international standards (e.g., EN 1993 for steel structures).
- Permit Planning: We prepare certified documents and calculations for submission to authorities, ensuring a smooth building permit process.
Execution and Workshop Drawings: Based on structural requirements, we create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for production and installation.
Welded beams (built-up sections) are created by welding together individual plates to form custom beam profiles. This allows for:
- Maximum Flexibility: Cross-sections can be precisely tailored to specific load requirements.
- Weight Optimization: Material is used only where needed for strength.
- Large Spans: Ideal for halls requiring long spans or specialized structures where standard profiles (e.g., IPE, HEA) are insufficient or uneconomical.
As a result, welded beams are often used in industrial and hall construction projects that demand larger or more customized profiles.
